In total, 10 House Republicans joined Democrats in voting to impeach Trump

In total, 10 House Republicans joined Democrats in voting to impeach President Trump on Wednesday.

The Democratic-led House voted 232 to 197 to attempt to remove Trump from office, marking the second time that the House voted to impeach him. No House Republicans voted in favor of impeaching Trump in 2019.

The 10 Republicans who joined Democrats to vote in favor of impeachment on Wednesday were Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the House GOP conference chair, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, Jaime Herrera Beutler of Washington, John Katko of New York, Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Peter Meijer of Michigan, Dan Newhouse of Washington, Tom Rice of South Carolina, David Valadao of California and Fred Upton of Michigan.

As Just the News previously reported, the House GOP leadership was not advising the Republican caucus to vote a certain way on Trump impeachment.

House Republican defections on Trump’s impeachment were less than some had anticipated.

Jordan Sekulow, a lawyer on President Trump’s legal team, predicted that there would be as many as 20 to 25 House Republicans voting to impeach the president, but the number turned out to be 10.
